Help us to clean the environment and save the mother-nature from unwanted disasters. Millions of innocent lives we lost every year because of disasters.
Tanzania generates approximately 1.5 million tons of solid waste annually, with urban areas contributing significantly. The waste collection rate in urban areas is estimated to be around 40-50%, meaning that half of the waste produced remains uncollected and improperly disposed of. Around 70% of the population lacks access to proper waste disposal services, leading to waste being dumped in open spaces, streets, and waterways. Only 15-20% of solid waste is recycled, with plastic waste being a major concern, as over 10 million tons of plastic waste are produced annually, much of which ends up in landfills or the environment. In rural areas, waste management systems are even more limited, causing widespread pollution and health risks due to inadequate disposal infrastructure.
Simply Green is committed to transforming waste management in Tanzania through sustainable solutions and empowering the youth to take an active role in preserving their environment. By tackling waste pollution and creating green business opportunities, we are fostering a future where waste is seen as a resource, not a problem.
